Description:

 

The ultrasonic transducer can generate regular vibration under the excitation of a suitable electric field, and its amplitude is generally about 10 μm. Such amplitude is not enough to directly complete the welding and processing steps. Therefore, the transducer links a properly designed ultrasonic horn, and the amplitude of the ultrasonic wave can be varied within a wide range, as long as the material strength is sufficient, the amplitude can exceed 100 μm.

 

The transducer converts the ultrasonic frequency voltage from the generator into ultrasonic mechanical vibration of the same frequency by an inverse piezoelectric effect. It consists of a number of piezoceramic sheets sandwiched between two metal (usually titanium) blocks. A thin metal plate is formed between the sheet and the sheet to form an electrode.
