Description:
The converter is aptly named because it receives electrical energy from the power supply and converts it into mechanical vibrations. Replacement converter for Branson model 922JA (101-135-049), for use with 920IW or IW+ model integrated benchtop welders or 920 D/M (2000 watt) power supplies using actuator or assembly stand.
It consists of a central piezoceramic component, a front and rear metal cover, a pre-stressed screw, an electrode pad and an insulating tube. The sandwich transducer bolt-on transducer produces stable ultrasonic waves when the load changes, and is the most basic and most important method for obtaining a power ultrasonic drive source. According to different designs, the ultrasonic transducers are mainly in the form of the same shape of the front and rear metal cover plates. The diameter of the inverted horn type front cover plate is excessively reduced by the arc type, the cylindrical steel back cover, and the column type has a section in the middle.

Ultrasonic Welding influence factors:
In the actual production process, not all plastic materials can be welded. The plastics that can be laser welded are all thermoplastics. Only thermoplastics with the same or similar molecular structure can be welded. The welding surface is intermolecular chemistry. Combined, the closer the matrix material is, the better the welding effect.
We also need to consider the factors that affect the quality of the weld in order to get a better welding effect. When welding, pressure, time, and heat absorption (melting amount) are three factors that ensure the quality of welding.
1. Ultrasonic welding pressure
Appropriate pressure is applied to the welding surface, and the welding material will transition from elastic to plastic. It can also promote the mutual diffusion of molecules and squeeze out the residual air in the weld, thereby increasing the sealing performance of the welding surface.
2. Ultrasonic welding time
Have proper hot melt time and sufficient cooling time. When the thermal power is constant, there will be insufficient soldering when the time is insufficient. If the time is too long, the weldment will be deformed, the slag will overflow, and sometimes hot spots (discoloration) will appear in the non-welded parts. It must be ensured that the welded surface absorbs enough heat to reach a fully molten state to ensure sufficient diffusion and fusion between the molecules, and sufficient cooling time must be ensured to achieve sufficient strength of the weld.
